Serve those who served

The Warrior Healing Center is a volunteer-run organization providing services and activities for veterans. Submit a volunteer application, and we will reach out to you as soon as possible and get you involved. Volunteer as much as you'd like--find your purpose at the Warrior Healing Center!

Volunteer Teams

RONA Call Team

The RONA team checks in on veterans who have signed up at the Center with phone call buddy checks. The Military has trained its service members to "suck it up" and not ask for help, so the RONA team makes sure to start the conversation. Veterans need to know that they are valued and needed in this community, and this team communicates that message, and invites veteran families to upcoming events.

Cooks Club

The Cooks Club organizes community food events at the Center. See the calendar for events and be sure to stop in for Bagels & Brew and Fun Food Friday each month! If you love to feed others, this is the team for you!

Victory Healing Garden

The Victory Healing Gardening team needs people who love to grow and nurture! If you have experience with Arizona raised bed gardening, or a desire to learn, we can use your help to plan and tend with the team, and to plant and prune and harvest!

Welcome Desk

The Welcome team is the first to greet visitors to the Warrior Healing Center as they come in through the door. At the front desk, you'll help people complete intake forms, and help them navigate to the appropriate destination.

Warrior Pantry

We want to feed and nourish people - body, soul and mind. The Pantry Team often begins this process by providing food for the hungry, setting the stage so we can move on to deeper community relationships. The Warrior Pantry team manages food donations and coordinates creative plans for ensuring veteran families have food on their tables. The team collaborates with amazing resources in this community to efficiently ensure that veterans can heal.

Don Price USMC Military Library Team

The Military Library team manages incoming donations, reviews books, and hosts an online catalog where you can browse the wide selection of DVDs, CDs, audio and hard copy books.

Warrior Care Team

The Warrior Care Team responds to requests for assistance that come in to us through our intake process. The Care Team works to ensure each veteran in need does not face their challenges alone, but has a unit fighting alongside them to win the battle. This amazing crew meets weekly to manage the needs, and spends hours volunteering each week to help veterans navigate to the resources they need.

Runners Team

The Runners Team is made up of volunteers who can respond to the "vet signal" that we broadcast when we have quick errands that need to be handled. If you've got some free time and don't mind some extra errands, this could be a great team for you!

Spirituality Team

What is the meaning of life? There is a greater purpose than what we experience in the daily grind. Active duty service members have a very strong sense of identity and purpose, but veterans often struggle with upon separation from the military. If you have a handle on helping others to find their meaning and purpose, this may be the team for you!

Quartermaster Team

Cochise County is a generous community of citizens who continue to help FIGHT for veterans by donating needed items. The QM team processes donations and keeps us organized and ready to serve!

Have other skills?

We have so many projects and even more big ideas. If you have a skill you don't see represented in the task examples—let us know! We have more tasks in progress and more teams at work, and life provides us all with unique skill sets -- and we'd love to involve you in a task so you can proudly use those skills. We have a outreach that's needed, social media accounts to maintain, grant proposals to write, and more!
